Fox News reports Muslim-Only No-Go Zones all over France

foxnews_alert_2002_aLast week, if you watched American news channel Fox News, you might be forgiven for thinking that the Nice neighborhoods of Saint Augustin, Trachel, Pasteur, Bon Voyage, Saint-André and the Ariane were official No-Go Zones: off-limits to non-Muslims, void of police, and ruled by Shariah law.

No joke, this whopper unfolded when a Fox News guest and self-described ‘terrorism expert’ informed Fox’s 2 million viewers that there are 761 No-Go Zones in France alone, and without fact-checking this rather shocking claim, Fox News… just ran with it! Fox News pundits earnestly repeated and discussed the No-Go Zones over and over again in the course of the week, concluding that ‘Europe is finished’.

Once they realized that, oops! they had been merrily reporting something that was complete crap all week long, did they correct this horrendous misinformation?   Heavens no!  They were just going to let it slide, as they have in the past when dubious ‘facts’ have later proven to be dead wrong.

Here’s the hilarious must-see clip from French TV (subtitled in English), that brought Fox News to their knees, and prompted Rupert Murdoch-owned Fox News to issue an extremely rare on-air retraction and apology.

Nice as in Nice Fr. your posting again . I never would’ve gone back to Nice if it wasn’t for your blog . Will be in Nice in May and was going to cancel my Oct trip but now I will rethink about Oct . I just got back from a Hawaii island cruise Nice is a way better deal as to price (1/2) and things to do . I took that very costly ($2) #100 bus 3 RT’s to Monaco in one day ..
Go sell some real estate and is the fall of the money hurting you .
    Thanks
    Jeff

I know if costs money to run a website so why not a donation box to help pay for a pro to fix things and save you time the medical site I’m on has one ..Your time as mine is worth something .
It’s ok if you post every day too.
      Thanks
      Jeff

Actually, I used to have a donate box but nobody ever clicked it so I took it off! And, yes, lesson learned: I’m trying to find someone locally who can help me with the tech aspects of my site. And for the moment I’m working hard ad updating the site, correcting outdated info (almost done) and adding new pages, especially for the ‘by Month’ section. Once that’s all done I will certainly pick up the posting pace!

        Thanks again for your encouragement!

This is my proposal to solve the terrible problem of NO-GO-GO-ZONES in Paris:

Fill these NO-GO-GO-ZONES with some GO-GO-GIRLS coming from Moulin Rouge.

I am sure that people will start to GO-GO-GO again!

    Ciao – Carlo

Hi Carlo! This is an excellent idea to revive the banlieues…I think you have the makings of an international diplomat!

hooray! So glad you’re back. Have used the restaurant guides extensively and looking forward to an update. On the no-go story the same ‘story’ described Birmingham, the second largest city in the UK, as a completely Muslim and a no-go area! Idiot!

Thanks Andy! At the moment I’m cleaning out the outdated info, but will be adding new picks soon!
