What to Do in November in and around Nice – 2023
C’est Pas Classique music festival – FREE – November 3-19, 2023 One of November’s highlights is usually the super fun and free C’est Pas Classique weekend music festival, but since its home turf is currently being demolished, the city is taking the opportunity to expand the festival from 3 days to 3 weeks, and at venues all over the region. It is still totally free (and freewheeling!) but now many concerts require free tickets, so take note: the reservations open (via the site) on October 13.
Update: Many concerts are now marked ‘complete’, but now there is a waitlist, so jump on the site and get on that list!
Free Vintage Fashion Show – Free – 6pm Saturday, November 4, 2023 – The Puces de Nice, the iconic covered antique mall on the Nice Port is puttin’ on the ritz with a big collaborative fashion show, with music, aperos, and 33 stands to browse.
More vintage deals can be found at the Neighborhood Flea Market/Vide Grenier on the Nice Port – Sunday November 12, and again on Sunday November 26. One person’s trash is another one’s treasure, and believe me, treasures abound at these local ‘vide greniers‘ which means empty your attic, with all kinds of oddball stuff trading hands at bargain basement prices. Tram stop Port
Free Parc Phoenix Weekend for local residents – Saturday/Sunday November 4/5. The first full weekend of each month Parc Phoenix nature park/arboretum is free to local residents (but you need to bring proof: a recent phone or electric bill, or tax notice). Right after lunch is the busiest time with a line to get in so mornings or late afternoons are best. Tram stop Parc Phoenix
Nice-Cannes Marathon Sunday November 5, 2023 – Just possibly the most picturesque marathon course in the world!
Free Candlelight Concert in the Park – Friday November 17, 2023 To mark the 10 years since the opening of the Promenade du Paillon gardens, the city is celebrating with a free candlelight symphonic homage to Queen concert, under the stars and right in the park, in the section just off Place Massena. Seating is limited and it’s by reservation only so sign up here now! But even if you’re too late for the tickets, just hang out at Place Massena where the concert will certainly fill the air.
