Outdoor Yoga in English
What could be more zen than to ‘greet the sun’ with the smell of the sea air and the sound of the pounding waves? With 300 sunny days a year, you can do yoga in the great outdoors pretty much year-round!
Eunoia Lune Yoga holds open-air yoga classes in English all year long, and in some of the most beautiful and serine spots in Nice, including a sea-facing terrace on top of the Nice Chateau Hill (or shaded by the Chateau arches during the hottest days!), at La Reserve Beach just beyond the Nice Port, and in Antibes. Her Nice classes are just 10€ and you can sign up on her website, or on her new Meet-up group.
In fact, that tranquil Chateau terrace just above the Vieux Nice is a popular yoga spot, and it is also where Chloe offers her yoga classes in French and English from February through October for 16€ a session via Airbnb Experiences.
Yuko Harmegnies does her sessions in English, and summer outdoor classes are generally on the giant flat blocks making up the break wall on the Nice Port (but this might change for 2024 as there is some construction going on in the area, so check her website for updates). She specializes in private yoga/breathing/wellness coaching sessions but has small group classes as well starting at 25/30€. She has a something on offer almost daily, so just check her website for the calendar.
Antonella Yoga sessions are mostly in French but she can do them in English and French if requested. Her outdoor classes are only in summer, but during that time she has a robust weekly roster for all levels, and not only does them on top of the Chateau Hill but also sometimes beachside for just 10€.
And then there’s YogaNice Association which offers open-air Hatha-Yoga on top of the Nice Chateau, but only in French and you have to become a member.
Namaste!
